When the meesterproef started we had a presentation from a lot of people that represented company’s. They each showed us a project and at the end we had to fill in a top 3 in teams. After a day of the teachers putting together the teams we got put into the OBA Laagdrempelig Zoeken team. This project was basically building a webapp for a client. Our client was the OBA, which is the library of amsterdam. This project was quite awesome even though it got of to a rough start in my eyes. Looking back on the first few weeks it was a proper and nice design process, but at the time we were busy with the workpressure since we only had about 6 weeks to get a final product.

Our team had a good diversity. Some were more at home in designing, and some more in Coding. This worked out perfectly in the end.

The project we had was a really tough one. But i liked every second of it. Working with typesense and Chatgpt was a really nice change of pace. It is really hard to understand but after a while of them telling us the way it worked i finally understood. Its really fascinating to see how these AI work by using a lot of the previous versions to limit and look after the main one, and that is how they upgrade eachother.

My Opinion

I really liked the interaction we had with our client. I think i learned a lot from that interaction. I loved the fact we got to work with actual clients in the first place. This is something we haven't done in the course yet, and i think it is something crucial. I learned there are a lot of things you should and shouldn't do when it comes to dealing with clients. I also liked that each group had their own teacher, so you could ask them anything at any time. The only thing i didn't like as much were the coding and design reviews. I think that the first few times we had them were good but at the end we sat there basically for nothing because we only had to put some more time into it.
